Just a thought.
Imagine how hard it is to be a soldier. To be ready for death everyday. Not a death by sickness but a death by bullet or sword or shrapnel.
Just imagine when you are face to face with the enemy. It is a survival situation. You think of nothing but to live. At that very moment, only your primitive instincts dominate. Your training is only secondary to your primary goal which is to survive this skirmish and to go home to people who matter to you.
Imagine the overwhelming feeling of fear that you have to vanquish.
THE SOLDIER. We are in gratitude to him. We, who take for granted our freedoms and our excesses, should be thankful to this heroes who take fear by the horns and give us our normal lives on a silver platter.
