Sometimes We Forget to Breathe

Sit back. Be mesmerized with simple things. Massage your temple gently. Smile. Above all, especially if your present surroundings is not polluted……..BREATHE.

We are concerned about our deadlines. Groceries to buy for the house. Medicine that we have to take. Bills to issue checks for. We simply forget not to harass ourselves. It’s not that i am encouraging people to procrastinate or to delay day-to-day obligations. It is just that, if we come to think about it, we have a lot of time in the day to just be amazed by the world and by beautiful people (especially of their inner self).

Sometimes we do an activity and we feel we are forcing ourselves to do it because of necessity. If it is an obligation or a job we have to do, then by all means, you are forced to do it. Still being a good citizen, a hardworking employee and an industrious businessperson is still tops on my list – we still need to eat and pay for our rent, don’t we? But then, if you have options on your side, wherein you have the choice not to do an activity immediately, then stop doing it.

Have you not noticed that you are more productive in a certain activity at certain times of the day? Or if you are in a certain mood. Sometimes, we spend a lot of hours on a task and we only produce this much. We spend only a few minutes on the same task at certain times with a mood which is just so pleasant and conducive to the task at hand that you can produce as much or more in a few minutes than you can do with several hours on the job but with a physical and mental condition which makes the task so difficult.

Know yourself well. Your weaknesses and your strengths. Breathe in…breathe out. Look at the flowers, the trees, the plants outside your window. The cat roaming freely on your window sill. The lizard, so still and so calm on your ceiling. The feel of cold tiles on the soles of your feet (some people don’t like this, but i do). Massage the back of your neck gently (doctors don’t recommend this especially if you have hypertension) and only gently.

Eat your favorite food or dessert. Guiltily, i eat fast so i do not really practice this, but i really want to learn how to enjoy my food slowly.

Well then, i hope i am of help to you to relax and benefit from simple things.

  1. Awesome blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely
confused .. Any ideas? Thank you!

    • If you are starting out, go for the free platform. Get the feel for writing your blog first before going to the paid option.
Have a writing niche. A topic or very specific category which readers would identify you with. Example let us say, ITALIAN FOOD, and the first thing that comes into the mind of readers is your blog. Something like that.

      Happy writing!
